Legal Administrative Assistant II
Full-Time
The Legal Administrative Assistant II would provide a full range of secretarial, clerical and administrative support to legal staff.
Main Job Duties and Responsibilities
- answer telephones and greet clients
- respond to clients and provide information to clients
- maintain paper and electronic filing systems following recognized procedures and standards
- process and track legal work through current systems
- record and monitor deadlines
- collect and retrieve information from files as needed
- create, format, revise and edit legal documents such as wills, deeds, trusts, POAs, and HIPAA
- prepare and edit correspondence, letters, memos, and spreadsheets
- review and proofread documents and correspondence to ensure accuracy
- process and distribute documents effectively
- input and track timekeepers’ hours
- maintain accurate expense account records

Education and Experience
- 2 – 3 years working experience in a legal firm
- prefer an associate’s degree or work experience
- advanced working knowledge of MS Office
- knowledge of legal procedures
