Legal Administrative Assistant II


The Legal Administrative Assistant II would provide a full range of secretarial, clerical and administrative support to legal staff.

Main Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • answer telephones and greet clients
  • respond to clients and provide information to clients
  • maintain paper and electronic filing systems following recognized procedures and standards
  • process and track legal work through current systems
  • record and monitor deadlines
  • collect and retrieve information from files as needed
  • create, format, revise and edit legal documents such as wills, deeds, trusts, POAs, and HIPAA 
  • prepare and edit correspondence, letters, memos, and spreadsheets
  • review and proofread documents and correspondence to ensure accuracy
  • process and distribute documents effectively
  • input and track timekeepers’ hours 
  • maintain accurate expense account records

Education and Experience

  • 2 – 3  years working experience in a legal firm 
  • prefer an associate’s degree or work experience
  • advanced working knowledge of MS Office
  • knowledge of legal procedures
